MOBILE, Alabama - The Mobile Police Department's Internal Affairs Divisions has cleared an officer involved in a deadly shooting last month at the French Quarter Apartments.

On September 18, Officer Walter Bradley responded to a call for shots fired at the apartment complex in the 500 block of Azalea Road. When he arrived, police say 25-year-old Frank Spencer fired shots at Bradley and then took off.

Bradley chased after Spencer and fired back. Spencer was transported to the USA Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

investigators with Internal Affairs have ruled the shooting was justified and that Bradley acted in accordance with department policy.
