Pascagoula police are looking for a Mobile man wanted for a busy crime spree that ended with a bank robbery.According to police, 37-year-old Thomas Wade went to Persinger Automotive in Mobile to take a test drive. But he didn't use his real name. Wade told the used car dealership that he was Gary Jones Jr., of Orlando. He took a 2005 Honda Accord for a test drive and never came back.
Around 12:30, police say Wade tried to open an account using the stolen identity at Navigator Credit Union in Moss Point. But Wade got nervous when he was questioned by credit union employees, so he left.
Shortly after 1 o'clock, police say Wade walked into the Hancock Bank on Denny Avenue and handed the teller a handwritten letter demanding money. After he got the cash, police say Wade took off in the stolen Honda headed east on Highway 90.
Wade's last known address is on Carol Plantation Road in Tillmans Corner. He's described as 6'00", 180 lbs., with brown hair, and blue eyes.
Police say Wade is most likely driving one of two stolen vehicles. The Accord is a silver, four-door with tinted windows, a sunroof and leather interior. It should have a Persinger Automotive dealership tag and decal on the rear. He may also be driving a two tone, black over silver, 2007 Dodge Charger police say was stolen from Hooney’s Auto Sales in Theodore, Alabama on June 27.
If you know where to find Wade, please contact Pascagoula police at 228.762.2211.
