A man and his two sons have been missing for more than a month.
Mobile Police have now joined the search.
Michael Nichols is looking for his 33 year old son, also named Michael, and his two grandchildren, 9 year old Joshua Nichols and 13 year old Ryan.
He said the last time he saw his son was August 9th in the 2500 block of Riverside Drive.
Michael Nichols said, "I was reading the paper, sitting in the living room, and he came up and hugged my neck and said, 'Love you, we'll see you later,' and that was it. Ain't seen him since."
Nichols said his son has custody of Joshua and Ryan and there was no reason for him to leave the area.
And Nichols said after talking to people at his son's workplace, the mystery deepened.
He said his son worked at Millard Refrigerated Services which is near the Theodore Industrial Canal.
Nichols said, "My son's last day at work the last time they'd seen him was the 14th of August. He left there and left two checks he hadn't picked up."
In the meantime, Nichols said he's been handing out flyers and recalling fond memories.
He said he'd go fishing in the mornings with his son and his grandsons would go with them if they were out of school.
When asked what that was like, Nichols said, "You had to know that little one (Joshua). He'd tear up a handful."
And Nichols said if his son is listening, he would want to know "that the youngins are okay. That's what we're worried about."
Mobile Police said Michael Nichols was last seen driving a gold 1995 Mercury Villager with Alabama tag O5180AY.
If you have any information on where he and his sons might be, call police.
