Mobile fire fighters were working with their boots *off* today. Members of the Mobile Fire Rescue Department were collecting money for one of their own today. A boot drive was being held to raise money for retired Theodore Fire Chief James "Spot" Shelley. According to a news release, the money collected will go toward Shelly's cancer treatment. The fire department is also selling a cookbook to help raise funds. An organizer called News 5 to say they were able to raise $10,000 for "Spot."
