Apparently not his first arrest either. According to the Press-Register-he was arrested in Washington Co. with the similar charges in February. What a fine upstanding citizen.(dripping sarcasm)

Yeah well we all know that even if they did bust a lab some would feel it was imposing on their rights. Just the way of the world. However, like you I can understand the always being on alert with your property. I never liked guns because of past history, but now that things have gotten so out of control and if a situation was to occur were I might need to defend myself it is either going to be me or them and I have no intentions of it being me anytime soon if I have any say in it, and I will. Maybe only 5’1 but a weapon sure strengthens my odds.

I think we’re mostly on the same page Minimay,but some land owners get really upset on anyone entering their property without permission and I’ve seen people shot in the past for just hopping a fence for one reason or another.I’m all for the deputies if they have a warrant and have let the people know who they are.I’m a hoping there was a meth lab there where he was shot to maybe stop any legal actions against these deputies.I wouldn’t like to see any LE discouraged in their job on shutting these meth labs down.

I have heard of the “rolling Meth-labs” as well. It is an ongoing and growing problem in the area. This makes it easier for them to do it without being caught, which is scary because you never know where these labs are at at any given time. Very dangerous and very hazardous. I am not sure if the residence they were at was where the lab was at, but if it was at least there is one less lab out there now. I would be a little on edge if I saw someone coming up my property un-announced as well, but if I saw it was the police I would calm down and co-operate. Just common sense people, if you see LE coming up to your door, do not pull out any kind of weapon and co-operate. Nothing to hide, nothing to defend.

From what I’ve heard so far was that there was meth being produced in the area.I don’t know if it was at his residence or not,if it was,KUDOs to the deputies.Some people get mighty testy if you show up un-announced on their private property.I read yesterday where the users can now make their own with a much simpler method even while on the go.I could have gone all year without hearing that.
