A massive manhunt was underway on the Eastern Shore Monday. But, after hours of searching, Daphne Police finally caught their man. Police say 19-year-old Clayton Johnson stole a truck from a Daphne business and broke into a home off Whispering Pines Road while the homeowners were still inside. After that, Police say Johnson broke into a home on Lancaster Way in the Lake Forest neighborhood. We talked with the home owner's mother who says she got the surprise of her life when she walked into her daughter's home, "no one was supposed to be there," said the home owner's mother, Sue Evans, " he startled me and I startled him and he bolted out a side door, one that has a window that he had cut the screen and gotten in that way." Johnson was taken into custody around 2 Monday afternoon in the Park City area of Daphne near Pinehill Road and Third Avenue. Police say he's charged with theft of property, but more charges are pending.
