Mobile police arrested two men wanted for breaking into several vehicles on Benedict Place in midtown, but not before one of them tried to get away on a bicycle.

Police say the burglaries occurred before 5:00 a.m. on May 21. A witness saw Anthony Riggins and Samuel Shamburger pulling on vehicle doors in the area and called police.

When police spotted the two men at Dauphin and Florida Street, they arrested Shamburger. Riggins hopped on a bicycle, but didn't get very far.

Both men are charged with three counts of Breaking and Entering. Riggins was also charged with Failure to Obey a Law Enforcement Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
