A man was shot Monday afternoon as he walked into a robbery at his mother's convenience store.
Mobile County Sheriff's Deputies want your help in finding the men responsible.
The shooting happened at Dottie's Gulfcrest Grocery off Highway 45 at Gulfcrest Road in Chunchula.
The victim is 42 year old Harvey Boothe, Junior, known to his friends as "Bubba."
His mother and father own the grocery store.
Norman Alford, a friend of the family, said he heard about the robbery and went to the scene himself.
When he got there, Alford said, "Bubba was laying on the ground right here and Dottie, she was beside herself."
Boothe was flown by Medivac to USA Medical Center with one gunshot wound to the neck and face.
Chad Tucker with the Mobile County Sheriff's Office said, "This gentleman walked to the door as the robbery suspects were inside, and at some point, something took place, and he was shot in the head."
Alford said, "He (Boothe) went in there to get something to drink. Somebody said something about some ice. He didn't know anything was going on, when he walked up there. He got to the door, the fellow shot him."
Leon Boothe is the victim's uncle.
Boothe said his wife talked to Dottie later at the hospital.
Leon Boothe said, "She got in touch with her and she's going, well, you can imagine: that's her son who got shot."
Alford said the victim was able to give deputies some clues.
Alford said, "He (Boothe) told them what they (the suspects) were driving, what kind of gun they had and he told them which way they went. Bubba talked all the time while we was there, after he was shot and everything."
Boothe is hospitalized in fair condition.
Sheriff's deputies said they're looking for two black men in a white Oldsmobile last seen heading west on Gulfcrest Road.
If you have any information, call the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.

It really is getting bad and for the first time in 23 years that I have lived in Citronelle, I’m starting to get scared.  I pass by that store everyday on my way to work and home and have stopped there for gas, but now I’m afraid to stop anywhere that I have to go in and pay.  If I can’t pay at the pump so that I can stay close to my car, I’m not stopping.

It is a shame how many robberies are taking place in the past few months.  Just last week some real smart guys robbed the Taco Bell in Jackson MS then later that same day robbed the dollar general.  To be quite frank with you I try not to go into a convenience store and I certainly do not let my young son go in with me.  It is scary to think just how unsafe of time we are living in.  My heart goes out to the victims and their family.  I cannot imagine how the mother must feel right now watching her son fight for his life after such a senseless act.  Frankly I do not think there is enough money in this world for me to work in a Convenience Store or the like, people are just too unpredictable.
