I don’t know who would really want to be a police officer now days with the way criminals have already posted bond before the police officer’s shift is over.  I know the pay is not there.

There are almost more criminals in this county than law abiding citizens so everyone better be prepared and armed or you could be the next victim.

Mobile PD doesn’t have the officers or the resources to combat the crime in the city,......but the council and mayor got thier annexation, even thought the citizens will not be protected from the cities crime.  And Richardson had one heck of a new year celebration giant useless moonpie and all.  With the economy, lax sentencing for crimnals, lack of jobs crime WILL continue to go up, and teachers will continue to get laid off, and kids will have no role-models to mentor them through life and we citizens will have to learn to protect ourselves from the criminals and the government.

I guess since the “moon pie” didn’t really put Mobile on the map with the “masses” that were going to be showing up for it, they decided to have shootouts and free for all so we could be famous for something.

Wait until Mardi Gras really gets started and Mobile will be the next New Orleans known for their out of control parties/parades.  We will then have our own segment on “Cops” called “Moon pies gone bad”. smile

What’s the crime rate in the Mobile area for 2009?  It seems like every day someone is getting shot, stabbed, beaten or run off the road.  Mobile needs to do something about that before this area ends up like some other cities that are primarily known for crime.

Another one bites the dust…...  It is a shame we cannot end our disagreements with words in still of steel and gunpowder.  Do we hate each other so much that we are willing to give up our own life as we know it just so someone we have a disagreement with dies.

I do not know the circumstances of this incident but with all the horrible stories in the news lately of death and assault over simple things it really makes one wonder. JMO
