Man Pleads Guilty To Three Bank Robberies

Alabama Mississippi  Robert Antrim robbed a bank in Mobile and two in Mississippi. He's also charged with robbing two more in Texas.

GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A suspect has pleaded guilty in Mississippi to three bank robberies and is held for Texas authorities where he is charged in two heists.

Robert Scott Antrim entered the pleas in federal court last week to robberies in D'Iberville, Picayune and Mobile, Ala. Antrim, who's 39, is also charged with two bank robberies in Houston, Texas. Antrim will be sentenced April 3. He faces up to 20 years in prison for each of the bank heists.

Prosecutors say Antrim's series of robberies began in Mobile (Bank Trust On Cottage Hill Road) and D'Iberville on April 17. Two days later, he robbed a bank in Picayune. The Texas robberies occurred April 28 and May 1.

Antrim was arrested May 5 in Stone County.
