The Mobile County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who was hit by a train Saturday in Irvington.

According to deputies, 49-year-old Jeffrey Burch was walking down the tracks around 5:30 p.m. Witnesses say he stopped on the tracks to watch the races at the Mobile International Speedway. Burch was hit and killed by an eastbound train.

A toxicology test is being done to see if alcohol was a factor.
