Lifeflight made an emergency stop in a grocery store parking lot early Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m., a man was hit by a car at the intersection of University Boulevard and Airport Boulevard in Mobile.
Emergency crews decided to call in the air ambulance to take the patient to the hospital.

Rescue crews drove the patient to the parking lot of the Bruno's grocery store near the intersection. That's where Lifeflight was able to land to pick up the patient.

There's no word on the patient's condition or if any charges will be filed in the accident.
