Man Shot & Killed By Homeowner During Home Invasion

Alabama Home Invasion Police say Jeremy McCall broke into a Brewton couple's home and pointed a gun at them. The homeowner grabbed his gun and shot McCall.

BREWTON, Alabama - The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a home invasion ended with gunfire and one man dead. But it was not the homeowner.

According to deputies, Jeremy McCall broke into a home on Highway 31, north of Brewton, around 3:00 a.m. He burst into the couple's bedroom and pointed a gun at them. The husband grabbed his gun and fired at McCall, killing him.

McCall's body was transported to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Mobile for an autopsy.

No charges have been filed against the homeowner.

This site sure doesn’t provide much info. According to another site, the home owner was aged 81! And the dead man was released from a Nebraska jail just two days prior.

How did this fella make it here and pickup a gun, in just two days? Did he “crime-spree” his way over here?

Hey freedomtofascismcom, I love your title. I loved the movie too although it will anger you! I agree 100% w/ your comment. An unarmed population is MUCH easier to manage. I always have my gun near in case of a home invasion. Sad to say, but we will be seeing a lot more home invasions in the days that are ahead of us.

No,he just wants to tax the heck out of the ones that own them, and drive up cost on buying weapons and ammo. Seen the shortages of ammo, yet? And hunting season hasn’t even started…

Wow! That could have ended very differently. I’m sorry somebody had to die, but that’s what happens when you break in somebody’s home in the middle of the night. I hope this story makes some of the criminals think twice.

It’s never a bad idea for homeowners to keep a weapon for self-defense. Just be careful to keep it safe around kids, if you have them (or they visit your home).

PS: Obama doesn’t want to take legal guns away.
