thats a badd a**ed 4 wheeler if it can outrun a crowne vic interceptor. there’s gotta be more newsworthy stuff going on. if they cant catch 4 WHEELER then the seriouse criminals are safe. come on Hoss whats going on up there.

LOL smile Yeah I’m a little surprised this made the news unless there is more that we don’t know. Otherwise seems like a little bit of a hurt ego that the guy got away.

police always said, if you want to do that you better get out in the county. let it go Barney

I am sure he did not out run the deputies. However, when pursuing a vehicle such as an ATV you have to be very cautious because one wrong move can risk the driver’s life. When he took off on that small trial the deputies were probably unable to follow him in their vehicles because it was too small. I think it is dangerous to drive down the side of a busy road on an ATV, but I do not see much of a problem on a secluded road. As long as they are being courteous and safe. Also as long as they now the risk of driving down the side of a road. One thing that I have seen that is not very bright is them driving on the side of the road on the ATV’s in the middle of the night. Plus you usually want to ride on the opposite side of the road so you can see the oncoming traffic and are not on the side of the road were someone can come up behind you and clip you without you seeing them.

Leave em alone

Lots of folks ride their atvs on the road in country areas which is illegal but often overlooked. The Sheriff could have wanted to stop this guy for any reason, but I bet the guy just didn’t want a ticket and didn’t want to loose his ATV which they can take from you if they wish. I will admit that I’ve driven mine on the back roads in the boondocks and waved at a couple officers, they just waved back.  We do get off the road if any cars come, but it’s really way back in the sticks so it’s pretty rare to even see anyone else.

Did he outrun the deputies? on his 4 wheeler?  Was the guy speeding on his 4 wheeler - or just trying to elude the police.  wierd.

That deputy is on the wrong side of the road.
