A man is accused of breaking into God's house and he must have been hungry. The pastor of Riverside Baptist Church on Dauphin Island Parkway says the suspect went through at least $100 of the church's food. Pastor Randall Ingram says the suspect broke in through a tiny bathroom window, cooked a pizza, whipped up a pudding and fruit cup dish, ate chicken cordon blue, green beans from an industrial sized can, and even packed some to go plates for the road. Ingram says he also spent the night at the church and made himself at home, "he turned the air conditioner down where it would be cool in there, he was very comfortable during the night, used one of our table cloths as a blanket," said Ingram. Mobile Police have identified the suspect as 21-year-old David Moffett. Moffett was arrested and charged with burglary.

This young man looks perfectly healthy to me.  Why doesn’t he get a job and pay for his own food and shelter.

Far be it for me to preach about the Bible,but this seems to be covered by ST LUKE 6,27 thru 38. Just an opinion from this old swamp dweller.I could think of worse places for him to seek shelter and no better place.Everyone have a good day.

you no i thought that was what churches were suppose to do help people in need all he did was sleep and eat. my preacher would have bought him groceries instead of put him in jail glad that he’s not my preacher.

If you saw the 6pm newscast you would know that the man is mentally disturbed. The pastor did not want to have him arrested but after having talked to the police and his father they felt this was a way to get him the help he needs. And no that does not go against the teaching of the Bible. If this ends up helping the man then it would all work for the good.

Bless his heart! Wonder why he didn’t eat at home? Maybe someone can help him get connected with the Bay Area Food Bank if he doesn’t have resources for food.
