Luong Said The Children Were Dead & Then Laughed

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - The 23-year-old mother of four children
tossed from an Alabama coastal bridge quoted her common-law husband
Lam Luong as saying the children's bodies would never been found.
Kieu Phan of Irvington had confronted him hours after their Jan.
7, 2008 disappearance. She says he "kept laughing."
Phan testified Monday as Luong's capital murder trial in Mobile
County began in the deaths of his four children.
Phan burst into tears when color photos of the children were
flashed on an overhead screen viewed by jurors and the 38-year-old
Luong, who sat motionless as she identified each by name:
2-year-old Hannah Luong, 3-year-old Ryan Phan, 1-year-old Lindsey
Luong, and 4-months-old Danny Luong.
Phan, whose testimony in Vietnamese was interpreted by
translator Angie Hawker of Pensacola, Fla., says Luong at first
told her that he left the children with a woman in Bayou La Batre,
but by 7 p.m. when they didn't return, she went to the police and
started a frantic house-to-house search.
Later, she said, Luong admitted "they are all dead." She said
he called from jail to say, "No way that we can find the children.
. ..He kept laughing."
Prosecutors claim Luong, a Vietnamese refugee and part-time
shrimp boat worker, argued with Phan before he drove the family van
to the top of the two-lane Dauphin Island bridge and tossed the
kids into the cold Mississippi Sound 80 feet below.
The four tiny bodies were recovered from waters off the coasts
of Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana during a search that involved
hundreds of volunteers in aircraft, boats and on foot.

IT was his choice to do what he did, it was a scumbag thing to do yes. But he has to deal with his punishment in the next life.

I believe as you do mustyouknow about how to deal with murdering scum like this evil B…... but when it comes to people who steal, they should have everything that they own taken and given away before they go to prison to work for 1.00 an hour until they repay what they have stolen, after all, THEY didn’t cut anyone’s hands off and I have no desire to go back to the dark ages with torturing people for crimes such as this. People who ruin things with graffiti should have everything they own spray painted including their clothing and again should have to clean up their mess and then pay restitution. But this guy and others who show no mercy to their victims deserve the SAME FATE that they so callously bestowed on their poor victims. I’m with the one person who said that he should be almost drowned and revived 3 times before he is dropped to his death. THIS is the closest form of true justice that he could ever get.

You all have some great ideas on how to deal with this scumbag, unfortunately we cannot do this types of acts to those who oh so deserve it. I honestly believe that if we went back to hanging people in the middle of town square for murder or cutting their hands off for stealing and so on, we would not have the crimes that we have today.

All I can say is that this mother has been through it backwards and putting her through this trial is like adding salt to the wounds. She is a very strong woman and I admire her for being able to handle all this with the grace and dignity that she has shown.

Rest in Peace little ANGELS. There are many people who didn’t know you but prayed for you relentlessly and still remember you daily. It is comforting to know that you are suffering no more and that you are in heaven on the knee of God with beautiful smiles on your faces.

Hey surf, I got one better. I believe in GOD so don’t think I am crazy but Hang him by his feet drop him down careful don’t kill him yet, put him in the water til almost dead, pull him up let him get his breath good and do it over and over and over and on the fifth drop him down quickly head first and let him drown. Sorry I am not a harsh or evil person I have 2 children and could not imagine. They could also put him in general population and let them handle it. THis is all costing us hardworking tax payers lots of money.
