MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A south Alabama man was sentenced to nearlysix years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to child
pornography charges.
The U.S Attorney's Office in Mobile said Thursday's sentence was
given to 46-year-old Francis Edward Tyrrell of Loxley.
He pleaded guilty in Sept. 2008 to charges he paid a membership
fee to view child pornography on a Web site that was run by a New
Jersey man.
Federal prosecutors said Tyrrell, a former businessman, was
among a group of people arrested in a 2005 undercover sting
operation dubbed "Operation Emissary II.
