MeAmerican.. I don’t watch folks back, why would they need me to? Unless they are involved in some sort of illegal behavior and ellicit activities they shouldn’t need someone to “watch their back”. If you fall into that category I suggest you look elsewhere. Not a back watcher here! It’s not too late to get your life together MeAmerican. Good luck with that.

I THINK IT WOULD BE A REALLY GOOD IDEA TO KEEP THEM IN JAIL FOR A GOOD WHILE AFTER LIKE SAY 10 OR 15 ARRESTS OR MAYBE I AM JUST CRAZY. THATS LIKE LETTING SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN ARRESTED OVER AND OVER FOR DUI AND THEY KEEP GETTING OUT TO DRINK AND DRIVE AGAIN UNTIL THEY END UP KILLING SOMEONES CHILD OR FAMILY MEMBER OR MEMBERS.  I ALSO THINK IT SHOULD BE A LAW EVERYWHERE THAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE COACHING KIDS, THERE SHOULD BE A BACKGROUND CHECK DONE,OR MAYBE AT LEAST GIVE ALL THE NAMES OF THE COACHES AND THE BOARD MEMBERS TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT AND LET THEM CHECK TO SEE IF ANY RED FLAGS POP UP ANYWHERE.

its been over 10 yrs sinse i coached in Ms, but we had to pay a youth coach fee. not sure if that was for a background check or not.

It is not set in stone to have these coaches backgroud checked. I worked as a board member and I know first hand, because I asked. I was told it was only done if they suspected something or if someone said something. This should be a big wake up call to all parents to not treat ballparks like they are your babysitters. So many parents today drop these kids off and do not return until practice is over.

Geez.  Well our Little League coaches are required to submit to a background check and they have to pay for it.  I live in Mississippi and I am sure that is not the case for a lot of places but we have had little resistence to the policy.  I mean seriously most people who are willing to give their time to Little League are doing so because they want to or because their child is participating and in the end you are going to be putting out your own funds to some degree so what is another $40 or so dollars…....  Just thought I would pass along our little food for thought.

now come on guys, if D.C. can have Berry and Mobile PeeWee Thomas, why can’t Saraland have this guy? i want to see all you fine gentlemens down at the courthouse monday saying “let Wade go” somebody call the press we needs to get the word out.
