New Year's Eve turned into a nightmare for a Mobile family when their 7 year old child was struck by a stray bullet.Family members tell News Five the little girl was out on the lawn when a bullet struck her in the leg.
Bullet casings can still be found along Fairmont Street where the girl was celebrating New Years Eve with family.
Her family didn't want to talk on camera but tell us she is back home from the hospital and is doing fine.
According to neighbors this isn't the first time the reverly has gotten out of hand.
"They need to stop shooting they need to take more precaution in what they're doing because it's just so sad the way the world is today,"Said Goldie Holyfield.
"I think it's unsafe for a kid to be out at that time of night. I got four granddaughters I wouldn't want them to out that time of night,"Said Johnny Russell.
Mobile Police have not made any arrests in connection to the shooting.
