Cade Gilmartin was just one of about a thousand people trying to find work at the Baldwin County Job Fair in Robertsdale Thursday. Unemployed for months and living with friends, Gilmartin knew he had to do something to stand out and get noticed.

"Networking, business cards, getting the chance to actually meet face to face with folks that I may be sending resumes to," says Gilmartin. "

The Silverhill man handed out a dozen resumes, shook countless hands and traded business cards. It wasn't long before Gilmartin made a good impression.

"First thing I noticed was the way he dressed, very professional," says David Upchurch, a representative with Modern Woodmen Financial Services. "I thought he did a really nice job at that, he made a really good first impression. I'd definitely give him an interview to see where it led from there."

Gilmartin says he's excited about the possibility of landing a full-time job with benefits in the near future. We'll keep you posted on his progress.

this fool was a plant, he lives in orlando. this was just set up for the news. I saw his facebook page, he was just in town visiting friends, and the news set him up for this

My T-Shirt said, “I used to work for Persinger Automotive, and all I got was this lousy shirt”.

My t-shirt says:

DON’T BE A HAG.  LEARN TO SAG.

I landed a job rather quickly with the multi-billion dollar X Games industry.  I sell travel packages to their events around the world.

What did your t-shirt say?

I was there and didnt have any luck, what they failed to show was half the employers telling everyone that there was a hiring freeze at some of their complexes, thats the byline i got when I approached the booths. That they were taking applications, and as soon as something came available that they would call.

I agree BamaBob.  This gentlemen appears to be a puppet.  Dressed the attire many puppets wear.  Had he of sagged, he would have at least shown some sign of individuality.  A catchy phrase on a t-shirt would have drawn attention that he was serious about finding job and not so serious about about how to find it.  Then again, we all know that the odds of a male finding a job is about as good as finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.  Females get the jobs.  Thus, the USA is in recession.

He probably would have done much better, if he had worn saggy pants and a t-shirt with a catchy phrase.
