
This morning, members of the Mobile-Pensacola Building and Construction Trades Council demonstrated outside of the steel mill.
The group is demanding construction jobs for locals.
On Monday, News Five showed you two workers who admitted to our cameras that they were undocumented, yet still getting hired to build the plant.
Union leader Donnie Adams says it isn't fair to Alabamians looking for construction work.
"It's about the fact that there's 9 percent and plus unemployment in Mobile County and a lot of these guys out here on this line this morning do not have jobs,"Said Adams.
"Works slow you know? And then you look at all these plants that are shutting down around here, where are those people going to work?"Said Ray Gumble, a union member.
Next week, labor leaders plan to meet with Mobile County officials regarding the letters they sent to ThyssenKrupp last month.
