While the fireworks fly off the shelves at Joe's in Theodore, we stock up on a small stash too.We took our fireworks to Fairhope Volunteer Fire Chief John Saraceno for a demonstration.
He says bottle rockets should be used in bottles not cans. In just a few seconds he shows us how a flame could form. That's one of the reasons why you are not supposed to light fireworks within city limits.
"Any of your bottle rockets or anything that goes flying up in the air stuff like that's pretty dangerous because you don't know where it's going to end up,"Said Chief Saraceno.
