MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore
has launched a Web site saying he's running for governor.
The Web site went up Monday morning. The Web site invites supporters to sign a pledge to help
elect Moore as "the next governor of Alabama."
Moore has an official announcement planned at noon Monday in
Montgomery.
The announcement coincides with the date that candidates can
begin raising money for next year's elections in Alabama.
Greenville businessman Tim James, state Rep. Robert Bentley of
Tuscaloosa, and former two-year college Chancellor Bradley Byrne
have already announced their campaigns for the GOP nomination.
State Treasurer Kay Ivey expects to kick off her campaign in a few
weeks.

“Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn’t.  You cannot shirk this and be a man.  To decide against your conviction is to be an unqualified and excusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may” Mark Twain.  Be a man not a sheep clay. Stand and be the man you are or hind behind I’m not going to vote. You can’t fine it to vote for what out there? Run for office. You could stay home and eat cheetoes and be the master of your own world.

so whats it gonna be, blindly follw the law, or interpet it as you see fit to your individual circumstance. isnt this just what the republicns and railing about now woth the sotomeyer nomination? come on guys you cant have it both ways

if we followed the law without making a stand and were blind as you, we would still be under the Queen. go put your head back in the sand hole clay.

think i will vote for none of the above. just tired of these same old crooked alabama players screwing up our state. i ouwld love for someone who is progressive, positive, and a true leader to emerge in alabama and re energize our political life and get us a lean, reformed, honest, efficient government. fat chance of that. its the same old tired players someone in a darks room selects and stick out there for us to choose from, its like which one will hurt us the least. Judge moore is part of the old dinosaur era alabama politics. we need to move on for change.

Clay City i tell you go ahead and vote for Artur and you will have another Obama!

like the clinton haters said, it wasnt about the sex, it was about the lying, its not about taking a stand, its about his role in governemnt and not doing what he was ordered to do when told to do so by a higher recognized government body, thinking his conviction and moral beliefs were superior than the supreme court, bot of the state and the country. if you dont have someone that will follw the law, how can we have someone involved in the law process. answer: we cant.

. Has nothing to do with markers or words of praise or thanks that religious freedom is part of these countries rights.

I don’t know anything about this man other than this story. But it is about ethics. What better ethics than to stand up for what you believe to be right, dam the world and make a stand! “Dam the torpedoes full speed ahead!” “Give me Liberty or give me death” “ This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.” “Each man must for himself alone decide what is right and what is wrong, which course is patriotic and which isn’t.  You cannot shirk this and be a man.  To decide against your conviction is to be an unqualified and excusable traitor, both to yourself and to your country, let men label you as they may” I see this man being true to his convictions. In a time in which this country is under attack by liberal socialist who try and use the laws and rights we have to subvert and destroy us from within.  Separation of Church and State is about dogma and leadership of the church not being part of the Government.

What?  No empathy?

even though he was stripped and pubically humilliated and did the same to the citizens and the state, he hangs on to the title of judge. he isnt fit to judge, we decided. he’s like charlie graddock all over again. go ahead and vote for the party of “No”, but dont be surprised when it comes back to you.
