congrats and good luck

@dougstech: Obviously, you don’t have any children because to say that a story about a small town little league team going as far as they did is a huge accomplishment. I suppose you would rather hear about kids robbing, fighting or shooting each other? I suppose that bad news is good news to you.

Congratulations to my nephew and his baseball team! You guys went a long way and you should be very proud of yourselves!

Just because people are not on here posting like crazy about does not mean they do not support or are interested in it. Could it be possible because they are actually out there physically supporting these boys? I do not know anyone playing, or anyone who is a parent of any of these kids, but I am proud of them regardless. It is very refreshing to see some positive news about the kids for a change.

Lots of people from home are very interested in this very newsworthy event.  They are watching it on the internet or keeping up with it through WKRG.  Those of you who aren’t interested….don’t waste your “valuable” time reading the articles or responding….that will be OK, too.  The moms in West Virginia say “Go Alabama and we are very proud of our boys”.

Sure, its news to the few people who already know about it, or are involved with it.

I agree-the kids, the parents and the community should be very proud of their accomplishments. Playing ball isn’t all about hitting a ball and running bases-it’s about following directions, working together as a team and learning good sportsmanship (win or lose). Some of my best memories with my kids, was going on All-Star softball trips (even when I was EXTREMELY pregnant and it was EXTREMELY hot-lol) I wish the kids the best-but remember,, you are already WINNERS,whether you come away with a championship title or not! Best of luck-from a Mobile mom who IS proud of you ALL!

I am a mom of one of the players on this team.  These kids have experienced something that not many kids get to experience in a lifetime.  I am shocked to see that there are people that think that this is useless news.  I wish that you could be here in West Virginia with the kids and see the thrill and excitement that they are experiencing….I think that you might have a different attitude.  Remember these kids are our future!!!
GO ALABAMA!!!!!!!!

I care!  I am very proud of these boys!  This is a huge accomplishment for this team.  They deserve to be recognized and I am rooting for them to go all the way!!! Go Jackson!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats what I meant to say. Its not worth spending any time reporting this foolishness…and that show by there only being these few comments.

I would think you mean it is useless news. For these kids it is a big deal. If you think it is not worth reading than do not read it. However, bashing some young boys trying to do something positive, instead of negative, with their spare time really speaks volumes of your character.
