State Troopers say an Irvington man was killed in a head-on crash in Theodore.

According to Cpl. Joe Piggott, 56-year-old Dennis O'Kelley was traveling west on Highway 90 near Tung Avenue around 8:00 a.m. For some reason, he drifted into oncoming traffic. His 1989 Pontiac LeMans was hit head-on by a gravel truck and then a 1993 Ford Explorer.

O'Kelley was flown to USA Medical Center where he later died.

The driver of the Explorer, 44-year-old Paul Dungca of Grand Bay, and his teenage passenger, Joshua Barnharth, were transported to USA with non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 90 was closed several hours for clean-up.
