2:04 p.m.- Zachary Lambert was being moved from a minimum security barrack to the main jail when he escaped from the transport van.
- The flat bed truck deputies say Lambert stole is owned by Bender Shipyards. It was parked on Royal Street with the keys still in it.
1:15 p.m.
- 21-year-old Zachary Lambert is the inmate who escaped.
- The Sheriff's Office says Lambert jumped out of a transport van near Mobile Metro Jail and stole a flat bed truck. He was not wearing handcuffs.
- Lambert was in jail on drug charges.

11:55 a.m.
The Mobile County Sheriff's Office says an inmate escaped from Mobile Metro Jail and lead police on a chase.
The chase ended about 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Super Target on Schillinger Road. The Sheriff's Office has not said how the inmate escaped or what they were in jail for.
