5:13 p.m.Police say John Rollins walked into First American Storage around 10:30 a.m., armed with a shotgun, and started arguing with his wife who worked at the storage facility. Rollins fire two shots, hit his wife in the face with the shotgun and then locked her and himself in a bathroom.
Rollins surrendered peacefully about an hour later. He was taken to Mobile Metro Jail and charged with kidnapping and domestic violence. His wife was taken to Mobile Infirmary to be treated.
12:19 p.m.
Police responded to the First American Storage on Magnolia Road before 11:30 a.m. after reports of shots fired.

says the couple may be husband and wife.
The man was carrying a 12-gauge shotgun, but negotiations that lasted about an hour ended the hostage situation.
Police say it may have stemmed from a domestic abuse incident.
The good news, no one was seriously injured.
Nearby Eichold-Mertz Elemetary School was placed on lockdown during the standoff, but business is back to normal there.
