A Bay Minette family loses their home just days before Christmas.
The Cooper family's home caught fire Saturday night. Everyone was able to get out safely.
Fire officials believe the fire started while one of the family's three children was playing with a lighter.
The family does not have insurance. They hope someone will help give their children a Christmas, while they try to find a place to live. "Up until the other day, my biggest worry in life was to get them that one toy they really wanted.. and now I'm trying to figure out where we're going to start over,"Said Ashley Cooper.
The Cooper's are staying with a relative. An account has been set up for Ricky Cooper and family at RBC Bank.

hey atleast he is being nice and trying!!! It’s the thought that counts!!!

this family’s home caught fire and you’re trying to give away pups?  wtf?  Are you nuts?  I mean, seriously…come on.

Allen, this is just my opinion, but I’m pretty sure after loosing almost everything they own the LAST THING they need is another mouth to feed. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good thought, probably just bad timing.

I’m really surprised nobody responded to my offer. Not even a no thank-you or just no. What’s this world coming to. I wonder how much (or little) money would have been dove on. The pups have all their shots and came with plenty of food plus other necessities and goodies. Did anybody ask the children ?

I’m supposed to be picking up some chihuahua pups and some chihuahua/yorkie mix pups from my sister hopefully on Christmas eve. She has to get rid of them. I wouldn’t want to get anybodies hopes up but, if everything works out and the family wants one, I need a contact number to call so I can drop it off on my way back from Ms. My phone number is 604-9119
