Alabama Arrested Foley man says he was pistol-whipped severely beaten and robbed...and lives to talk to News 5 about his nightmare

Vance McGaster says he thought he was going to die last night.

"When they pulled their pistols out and pointed them at my face, I heard two of the guns click," says McGaster. "They hit me with a pistol and a shotgun, they hit me with four guns and I did all I could do."

Four masked intruders kicked in McGaster's front door Monday night and attacked him. They had guns and they wanted McGaster's money. They ransacked his house and stole video games, DVD's and 25-hundred dollars in cash. McGaster was pistol whipped and beaten so badly, it took nearly two dozen stitches to sew up his scalp.

"It's crazy, they wanted to whip me for no reason," says McGaster. I guess they think I'm a millionaire. I don't have any money like that, I'm just an average person like everybody else just trying to pay my bills."

Three suspects were arrested last night and charged with assault, robbery and burglary. The fourth suspect, Cameron Phipps, was charged with the same offenses late Tuesday afternoon. Phipps had several choice words to say as he was let out of a patrol car and brought to police headquarters for questioning.

Sarcasm-not being for real-licensed. Sorry it was lost on you. I prefer to keep my money in the bank….I don’t keep a lot of cash on me-thus the $10 joke-get it??? Oh well…

ot sounds to me it at least one of these guys knew him and knew he just got his check cashed or something. poor guy, it probably took all four of them to get him down too. looks like he wouldn’t go down without a fight.

People who get home invaded and don’t manage to kill the invaders deserve what they get. This is 2009. By now you should know the score and how to protect yourself. And yes rmseek I guess you do need a new job - 2,500 cash around the house is not a nest egg or gold mine these days. It pays the bills for about two weeks, or less.
