More than 20 missionaries from a local church just returned from Honduras. They found out about the political unrest there only hours before they left for their trip, but they decided to go anyway. Rife Stewart, who is the pastor of Jubilee Church in Daphne, says at no time did they ever feel in danger. He says their trip was peaceful and they were still able to provide medical care to people in need, "while we were there we didn't see any protests, of course, we were far away from the city, a lot of what you saw on television we never actually experienced any of that," said Stewart. Stewart and the other missionaries were providing medical care at a rural hospital in Northern Honduras. He says they plan to return next year to do more medical mission work.

Southernmama, Jesus says go into all the world and preach the word and if you want to know why they give medical attention, read Matthew chapter 7. We have churches all over the cities in every city. There is little excuse for not knowing God’s word, but for when people use it wrong. There is medical attention, just go to a hospital. the bfa

it makes me sick when youth groups go to foreign countries. why don’t they stay here in the home town & try to help the countless amount of people who need medical attention, food, &/or a place to stay.

If you are raising money for your church DO NOT stand at a freaking 4-way stop. not sure if y’all know this but the Bible says you don’t work you don’t eat. & everytime their is a group standing @ a 4-way begging for money like a homeless person i roll my window down & inform them that they are going against the Bible & impeading traffic. not to mention church leaders you are putting your youth in danger. when i was a teenager if our youth needed money we worked like dogs to get it.

Thank God for the missionary spirit!!
