A South Mobile County church is completely destroyed just days after a historical celebration.
Members of Sweet Bethel Missionary Baptist Church crowded outside as fire fighters fought flames and heat.

The Coden church just celebrated its 96th anniversary last Sunday. Bayou La Batre fire officials say the fire started in the rear of the church and quickly spread.
Fortunately no one was hurt. Members are heartbroken but tell us they plan to rebuild.
"We have a good community here and we have good church members and we'll bounce back from it without a doubt,"Said William Richey.
"The church lies within our heart and we're going forward because Jesus Christ is in front of us and everything's going to be alright,"Said Pastor Darrell Jones

Fire officials are still trying to determine an exact cause, they say it may be electrical related.
