High School Principal Will Be Tried In Juvenile Court

Alabama Dothan The Dothan High School principal is accused of an inappropriate relationship with a female student. Because the case has been moved to juvenile court the public will be barred from hearings or any trial.

DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - A criminal case against Dothan High School's
principal that involves a minor has been moved to juvenile court,
barring the public from hearings or any trial.
Houston County Circuit Court clerk Carla Woodall says
41-year-old Andrew Dwight Sewell will go before a juvenile court
judge if the case goes to trial.
She told The Dothan Eagle in a Wednesday story that it's the only charge she knows of against an adult that has been filed in
juvenile court.
The Dothan High School principal was arrested last week and
charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a
misdemeanor. He was released after posting $600 bond.
Authorities released information last week that said Sewell is
accused of an inappropriate relationship with a female student
under the age of 18.
