It will be a miracle if all 12 jurors agree on this one. Just reading what the witnesses have said over the past couple of weeks it is clear that there is some type of cultural divide going on. That will probably carry over into the jury.

I agree with Southfan1981. I also agree with Lovepeace, in that the case does not hinge on DNA. The shifting of cases between judges may be an issue for fome folks. My recollection is that Judge McRae took Keith McCants under his wing, years ago, as he would do Alabama Players. An Alabama Player, was always before McRae, and McRae saw to it. This week McCants is arrested for some alleged crime, but it is interesting that the newspaper has not tied the ends together.

Yeah, except that this case doesn’t hinge on DNA anyway.  That’s just corroborating evidence.  Of course the alleged victims’ testimonies are key, but the real meat to me is all the non-criminal witnesses who can support what the victims say.  There is very little to dispute that he was inappropriately taking cases off other judges’ dockets, illegally extending probation times, manipulating the system in other ways, meeting with defendants in VERY inappropriate times and places, and SPANKING GROWN MEN ON THEIR BARE BUTTS!!!!

No one shows their true colors to the public. Look at all the clergy convicted of sexual abuse, men and women who religiously attend church while cheating on spouses, finally children who are honor students yet counterfeit cash with their high end printers.

There are too many people describing a fairly consistent sexual fantasy that Thomas carried out again and again. However, each charge will be looked at on its own merit.

Like I said, the DNA with the witnesses, it adds up to guilty! No other explaination really adds up. Too many are saying it happen to them and for the same reason.

Sirk, you make a lot of sense. However you have not sufficiently looked at both sides of the coin as to the DNA. One or more samples, it does not matter because we are dealing with a group of disinfranchized criminals prone to masterbation. waiting in an empty room, finally away from the block with 40 other witnesses that they have been tied to for 4 months in the jail. The opportunity just over came them.

The defense offered several non-sense ideas for the jury to contemplate. They offer a Catholic Archbishop, known to most non-Catholics as a leader who helped cover up sex abuse in the church, as a character witness and then try to argue that if HT was a sexual predator, everyone would know. They say that ‘all that he was trying to do was help people” but he does not take the stand. They say that his wife and children will be offended if the jury comes back with a guilty verdict but even witnesses for the defense admit that he had and used a paddle. If this jury acquits, I will be amazed.

Of course a person doesn’t turn out to be a predator at night, which means you need to check into his closet for a good many years before now and you may be surprised at what else you find.

Also, you don’t give up predatory ways just because you have been accused of it or punished for it, so he will only get more sneaky with how he does it from now on.

InTime:  There were multiple DNA samples not just one.  If only one DNA sample was found I could maybe understand it, but not more than one.  The DNA was found in room that was not his office, but his place of “sexual fantasy”, it was an extra little room that hardly anyone knew about except the victims and PeeWee. They did not hear all of the felons testimony because it was just a repeat of what they had already heard.

Of course he will get away with this.  All of the “higher ups” have a little something to hide and wouldn’t want the press to know.  Galanos helped Thomas out on this case because Thomas helped Galanos out with his domestic violence case several years ago.  Thomas has a “thing” with “higher ups” like he did with the felons and it was called “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours”, of course with the felons it was “smack my crack” and I’ll get your sentence reduced or thrown out.
