That case dates back to 2006 but came to light this year as authorities started investigating Matt Walker.
In May 2006, Walker was reportedly an "acquaintance" of the residents at a home on Airport Boulevard near the Mississippi state line. Court records show that he offered to keep an eye on the place while they vacationed and he cleaned them out after they left.
According to authorities, Walker snagged carpet, fireplace mantles, wall fountains, a staircase and an elevator from inside the home.
Our documents show that the victim apparently located the items at one of Walker's homes and got it all back. We're told that he chose not to file charges against Walker out of respect for his family.
Walker is known in Mobile high-society as a casino developer and entrepreneur who had a knack for "flipping" houses. Authorities say he got his victims to trust him but acting as if he was interested in buying their property.
Walker is charged with four counts of receiving stolen property for a handful of cases in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. The homeowners reported missing family heirlooms and the list of victims continues to grow.
Many of the items were reportedly recovered in some of Walker's homes in West Mobile.
More charges could be filed against Walker and we're told that the FBI will eventually be asked to help in the investigation.
Walker is expected in court on November 23rd.
