A happy ending for a dog that was shot and left for dead.

We first told you about Maggie last month. Someone cut her throat, shot her and then dumped the boxer mix on the side of Highway 98 in Fairhope. A vet had to amputate Maggie's left front leg because the bullet shattered the bone.

Well we're happy to report tonight that Maggie has a new home. New 5's Executive Producer and his wife adopted Maggie this weekend. They tell us she's getting used to being spoiled.

It’s a start !
Thank you to the couple who adopted this dog.
You will be Blessed for it.

beautiful story, thank you for sharing it. i also hope whoever did this is found, their cruelty will only escalate to humans.

Bama Bob you are so correct, we have a rescue farm for large and small animals and the cruelty to animals has become so violent and abusive. We deal with this every day. People can’t abuse people anymore for they will get jail time so they take their anger out on animals because there are no stiff if any laws in Baldwin County. It’s just so heart breaking.

She looks like a sweetie.  People that are that cruel to animals are not human at all.

The older I get, the more I like dogs, cats, birds, squirrels…....  and the less I like people!

That is a good story.  Gives me chill bumps.  So glad this one got a good home.  Thanks for the story.

Trying to make my cry?
