Thank you ITZME I agree. We don’t know how we would react if we were being abused with no place to turn. This is not the person I know. She would NEVER hurt anyone. But we are all going to fight back when our back is against the wall.

I agree with BamaBob on the abuse it was server and she just went off the deep end and yes she could have maybe gotten off if she had called the law right at the begining but she was afraid and reacted and then it was to late to go back until maybe she just couldn’t keep it in anymore. Abuse will make you do so many things if you can’t get away from it. Yes she did cash the checks but she was intitaled to them as his wife, as for insurance I don’t think there was any. He was a mean, mean man and wanted everyone afraid of him. He hurt Sandy over and over again.

I agree that abuse should not be used as an excuse for all situations, but this guy was apparently crazy as a loon and very dangerous.  Plenty of evidence and witnesses to back up those claims.

Would she have recieved VA benefits as the surviving spouse?  Would there have been some life insurance involved upon his death?  I don’t know for sure, so I am just asking the questions.  The benefit requirements are a little complex.

Killing someone while passed out and buring them in the back yard and for 3 years cashing VA checks is not the answer to domestic abuse.  Stop using the abuse excuse.

This woman has really painted herself into a corner.  With the guy’s history all she had to do was call the cops at the time and she could have convinced everyone it was self-defense.  Now she has a serious problem.

Probably best to go with an insanity plea based upon continuous verbal and physical abuse.  I doubt she is a threat to society as a whole, or to any other person as far as that goes.  Sounds like she was just worn down by a crazy jerk and just couldn’t take it anymore.

I have heard the same things that you say he was a very mean man, that tried to make everyone think he was crazy. I hope Sandy will come through this with not to long behind bars after all becaseu of her people can rest. As bad as that sounds.

he didnt even have a drivers license. he said one time that the law had killed his brother.the times that the cops went to talk to him about some of the complaints that were called in because of his constant threatening he would be in his house with guns loaded ready to shoot anybody that tried to come in. he would drink all day and do the bad things around noon til he passed out at night. i began to wonder if the law or anybody else could stop this insane person from terrorising the whole neighborhood.god knows we had to refrain even though we knew he might do the things that he threatened to do.the courts have most of this and all the complaints.i feel sorry for his family.we are at peace now thank god.

I heard he would get on his motorcycle in the middle of the night and ride around the neighborhood revving the motor, while wearing his underwear.
