Fire crews have been battling a blaze in Gulf State Park for five days now. It's burning near State Road 135 and Beach Road. Investigators say the fire started over the Fourth of July weekend, and it may have started with careless use of fireworks. Right now the Luxury RV Park on Highway 59 is currently being evacuated. Nearby tourist hot spots like the Gulf Shores Zoo and Waterville USA are on alert in case they also need to be evacuated. The Gulf Shores Fire Department and the Oyster Bay Volunteer Fire Department are both trying to keep this fire in check. Foley and Orange Beach fire departments are on standby to assist. Right now fire fighters are trying to make sure this fire doesn't jump the 3 Mile Creek. The fire is currently being fueled by high winds and dry conditions.
