Gulf Shores Mayor Awaiting Diagnosis

Gulf Shores Mayor Robert Craft is in Birmingham at the UAB Medical Center undergoing tests to help figure out why he's been having problems with his balance. Right now he is in stable condition, awaiting a diagnosis. In a message to city officials today, Craft said minor surgery is scheduled and doctors have not determined what the problem is yet. Craft said he plans to stay in Birmingham until he can be diagnosed.

Craft also says he is contact with city leaders an looks forward to returning to Gulf Shores. He also said in the message, "We have recently made significant progress in getting city expenses under control and our city’s best years are in front of us. I plan to be a part of all that."
