FORT MORGAN, Alabama - The Baldwin County Sheriff's Office says a teacher was behind the wheel of an SUV that ended up in Mobile Bay.

The body of 34-year-old Louie Carvin was found Sunday inside the SUV submerged at the end of the ferry dock at Fort Morgan. The Saturn Vue was found just after sunrise by a vacationer.

Carvin taught 8th grade Language Arts at Grand Bay Middle School. His body was taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences in Mobile where an autopsy will be performed later today.

At this point, the Sheriff's Office says they do not suspect foul play.

There is a gate at the ferry dock.  It was closed and he drove through it.

Does anyone have a clue what happened with this?  Did the man have any health problems that might have contributed to this accident?  A witness said there were no skid marks leading toward the water.  Was anything else disrupted at the scene?
