A family in Escambia County's Poarch Community is lucky to survive a house fire and owes it all to a 6-week old puppy.Short URL: http://wkrg.com/a/22620/
Ronda Scott, her boyfriend and daughter Cheyenne were inside their mobile home near Atmore when an electrical fire started. The overnight fire grew so big so fast that their bed pillows caught on fire!
Cheyenne's Chihuahua kept licking her face until she woke up and got the rest of the family out of the house safely.
In the scramble, the puppy jumped out of Cheyenne's arms and got lost in the smoke. Ronda says her daughter is heartbroken. "I felt so sorry for her she said that puppy saved my life and I couldn't even save his. I told her well maybe God sent that puppy here for a reason. It was to save our life."
The puppy had just been adopted just a few hours earlier for Cheyenne's 15th birthday. He didn't even have a name before he died.

Pastor’s House And Car Burned

Ahhh how sweet and how sad all at the same time. I wish I had a puppy that I could give this young girl. I think the mom had a great explanation about the puppy being sent to them to save their lives.
