Thousands of football fans will pack Ladd Peebles Stadium tomorrow night for the 10th Annual GMAC Bowl.Tonight, many of you lined the streets of Downtown Mobile to kick off the festivities during the GMAC parade.
The GMAC has been sponsoring the bowl for the past decade. GMAC officials hope to help bring in more sponsorship as college football in Mobile continues to grow.
The Mobile Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau says the bowl pours about 13 million dollars into the economy every year.
"We will have about 10,000 plus out of town fans specifically coming to mobile to spend money on hotels, restaurants and retail. So it's going to be a major economic impact for our city,"Said Leon Maisel, C.E.O for Mobile Bay.
GMAC officials say despite a sluggish economy they only had to cut back on one day of traveling for the teams this year
