Stay muddy South Alabama. Almost 500 co-eds from the University of South Alabama took part in an annual tradition today. Oozeball 2009 was held on campus. Teams played volley ball in half a foot of muddy water. Some even took time for a little horseplay. Organizers say it's something people look forward to all year“What's the appeal,” asks student Tariq Yousuf. “You get to play volley ball in about 6 inches of mud, can't get much funner than that on a Saturday afternoon so it's just a lot of fun playing some volley ball in some mud.” The game is a tradition that goes back about two decades. Three games are played at once.
