Terry Thompson Chevrolet in Daphne wants to help ease your fuel frustrations in the name of charity, while offering drivers gas at 66 cents a gallon. "There's three educational enrichment foundations on Eastern Shore, Fairhope, Daphne and Spanish Fort and we're going to give each one of those foundations 15 hundred dollars a piece,"Said Terry Thompson the owner of the dealership. Thompson says he got the idea for the one day deal from a 99 cent promotion in Texas and simply turned the 99 cents upside down to come up with 66.
Drivers will get to fill up 15 gallons of gas but Thompson says the deal is only for the first 330 drivers. Daphne Police will direct three lanes of traffic along Highway 98 to help ease congestion outside of the dealership. But some drivers say it is worth waiting in line for. "With the groceries as high as they're getting and going on trips this summer that's a great deal. Can't beat it, that's about 3 dollars 20 cents off which you're normally having to pay,"Said Brady Hall.
Monday's deal begins at 7 am and lasts until 8 pm or Thompson says until all 5-thousand gallons of gas being offered, are sold.
Gas Expected To Remain Cheap This Summer
