The family of Mobile police officer Brandon Sigler, who was shot and killed Tuesday night at an apartment copmplex in West Mobile, released the following statement.

"On behalf of Kenneth and Nina Gordon and family, we the parents of fallen City of Mobile Police Officer, Brandon Sigler are grateful and appreciate the media coverage on Brandon’s tragic and sudden death. We would also like to thank the Mobile Police and County Sheriff Departments and the entire Mobile County Community for such an out pour of love and support. We are thankful for your prayers and well wishes during this challenging time. Please know that as a family we are strong, trusting God and healing as best we can. Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward with Brandon in our hearts."

My prayers are with the family. My husband really wanted to pay his respects at Officer Siglers funeral, but unfortunately he has to work both Friday and Saturday. As stated in many of the reports an Officer is never “off duty” so I know that all of the officers that are patrolling during these next two days will be there in spirit and are working harder than ever to carry on the work that Officer Sigler dedicated his life too.
