Frances Chancery says she'll save at least five-thousand dollars this year without changing her lifestyle!"We save a minimum of 20 to 30 dollars every time we go out to eat," says Chancery.
The state-at-home mom recently launched a new website offering money-saving tips, on-line bargains, discounted restaurant gift certificates and coupons. The free website is called FrugalFairhope.com.
"Everybody is struggling right now," says Chancery. "Everybody is scared about the economy and it's going to be okay, just take it day-by-day, try to find the deals that you can, don't get overwhelmed by it, just take it one day at a time."
FrugalFairhope.com links web users to both local and national companies offering weekly specials.
"This week you can get a 25 dollar gift certificate for only three dollars," says Chancery.
Jessie's Restaurant in Magnolia Springs is just one of countless local restaurants offering discounted gift certificates online.
"We're not on a waiting list anymore," says Nicole Houser, owner of Jessie's. "It's like free advertising, it brings us new customers and clients and helps them and gives them a break so they can come and get a discounted meal."
