A Mobile couple is asking for your help, to make Christmas merry for Hurricane Ike victims in Texas who lost their homes.
They are driving a truck full of Christmas decorations to Texas on Friday. But they still need more decorations.

Eye of the Storm Relief is holding what is being called a "From Hurricanes To Candy Canes" drive.

News 5's Devon Walsh went around town where the group is getting ready to load the truck.

If you would like to help with the "From Hurricanes To Candy CaneS" drive, you can drop off Christmas decorations at Cellular South locations in Mobile and Baldwin Counties by Friday at 5 p.m.

Monetary donations are needed for gas and truck expenses, as well. You can make those donations on the organizations website,
EyeoftheStormRelief.org .

If they are Jewish or Muslim, they won’t need it or miss it. After you’ve been beaten down a little brightness means a lot, even without gifts, bless them for thinking of someone else at this time of year when everyone is having a hard time.

Christmas decorations?? Hope they’re not Jewish or Muslim, and that they have the money it takes to run Christmas lights and to purchase gifts for people.

Why don’t they give them something more useful—like a house NOT ON AN ISLAND!?
