Free Box Seats For Veterans

The Mobile BayBears are offering a complimentary box seat to active and retired military service members to any game throughout the 2009 baseball season.

“For the last five years, we’ve offered a complimentary box seat for Friday night games,” said BayBears President/COO Bill Shanahan. “Now, we want to show our appreciation all season long and for several seasons to come.”

All you have yo do is show your military ID card or veterans’ association membership card at the box office.

Immediate family members of servicemen and women will also receive a one dollar discount off the regular cost of admission.

The BayBears 2009 home opener is tonight at 7:05 versus the Carolina Mudcats. Tickets are available by calling the BayBears at 251.479.BEAR or by visiting mobilebaybears.com.

if your a war time vet, you bring your ID you get a ticket. not only did my nephew get a free ticket last night but they up graded his free ticket to superbox to sit by me. BAYBEARS rock. don’t let the warm days fool you bring a heavy jacket to the games. most peolpe got cold last night.

In hte interview on the tv last night the GM stated that ALL military and ex-military were welcoem to free seats all season long. WKRG can this be clarified for us? Maybe I misheard the GM’s statement.

Why are they ignoring the many of us who served in this nation’s military during time of war and were honorably discharged? I guess the answer is that they need to sell at least *some* tickets - right?

Great idea BayBears, one more reason I have supported you throughout the years. Any respectable company or organization that recognizes the sacrifices our service members go through has my support. Thank you for your support of our brave men and women.
