According to Dr. Bert Eichold, Health Officer, prostate cancer is the No. 2 cause of cancer death in men but is one of the most treatable if caught in the early stages.

“In fact, the 10-year survival rate for prostate cancer is 93 percent if it is detected and treated early,” he says.

Eichold also says that African-American men have a 70 percent higher rate of prostate cancer than do Caucasian men and die from prostate cancer more often than other men.
