MOBILE, Alabama - This is probably the only hurricane party where you don't have to eat all the food melting in the fridge. Members of Theodore High School Class of 1980 held a Frederic-themed reunion party tonight, 9/12/09. The small gathering featured candles, hurricane supplies and specially decorated hurricane glasses. Organizers say their senior year started with the storm. They say the two weeks school was closed helped them grow closer.“We had such a bonding experience, all our families pulling together to recover and everybody went up to the school and tried cleaning up the school 30 years ago,” says Margie Wilcox with the class of 1980. Wilcox says they'll continue marking events from the class of 1980 as they get closer to their class reunion. She says any fellow alums looking to make contact can go to their website.
