BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Former UAB football standout Will Dunbar
has been arrested in Georgia for failing to register as a
sex-offender in Alabama.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Lt. Randy Christian, a spokesman,
said Dunbar was booked into the DeKalb County, Ga., jail on
Wednesday.
Christian said in Jan. 2008 Dunbar pleaded no contest to
aggravated sodomy and rape of a 16-year-old girl in Fulton County,
Ga., in 2004.
Authorities alleged Dunbar failed to inform the sheriff's office
when he moved from Birmingham to Georgia.
Dunbar was an All-Conference USA safety at UAB. He awaits
extradition to Alabama.

something is fishy with the story. so he left birmingham and went home to georgia and he is being extradited back to birmingham to stand on alabama charges he didint notify authorities he was leaving? wasnt the register going to pick that up when he checked in at home n georgia? woudlnt alabama be better off to let georgia take care of it? someting is wrong here.

So…............what I’m wondering is how no one knew that he was a sex offender!! I mean, didn’t someone recognize him if he’s such a stand out?? It’s been 5 years, sounds kina fishy to me!!
